Gifts to Schools

The Council plays a vital role in connecting citizens to our country's foreign policy.  Work with students and teachers is an important part of the Council's mission.  Each year we serve over 8,000 of Houston-area students and teachers.  We offer seminars, workshops, lesson plans, and other international resources that help students learn about the challenges of our interconnected world and help teachers prepare them.

Your gift can help bring additional opportunities for students.  It may be dedicated to a specific project, school, or given to the general fund.  Your gift may be tax deductible. Contact the Council office for more complete details.

"As a high school student, I think that it is critical to be aware and familiar with the events that are happening in our world today. I thank you for sponsoring these events which are making a large impact on the future generation."

"The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew, and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country."
Lincoln's Second Annual Message to Congress, December 1, 1862.
